where God’s previous working meets our present response

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. (Gal 2:20)

In one of my seminary classes, we were required to read a book titled Sex in the Parish. It deals with the problem of sexual misconduct/abuse in the parish setting and offers ways to avoid compromising situations.

My daughter has come up with an alternate title for the book…

A few days ago I was standing in the kitchen and talking to my mom who had come over to visit.  My 11 year old daughter came in and asked her, “Granny do you know what daddy’s been reading?”

“No,” she answered.

“Sex in the Parsonage,” my little girl replied.

“PARISH, PARISH!” I blurted out.

Kids say the funniest things.
