It’s another beautiful day in the Mid-South; the sun is bright and warm, but it’s still cold in the shadows. There is something about this time of year that seems to be transforming. I think it has to do with the anticipation of the advent of spring. In spring, life seems to burst forth from a long-dead landscape, but this time of year offers only a much-needed preview after the long cold winter. There’s still a chill in the air, the trees are still grey and dead looking, but there are hopeful signs. In some places grass is turning green, buds are showing on the ends of some tree branches, and the sun is warm. Much like our lives as Christians. Some days are grey and cold, but the warm sunny days remind us that Spring is on the way.
Eternal Spring come quickly….
